Just a couple of words about the Kraft-Cadbury case. This is also an acquisition case. Kraft acquired Cadbury a number of years ago. It’s a fascinating story. There’s lots of updates. But I want to be sure that you don’t get too caught up in the discussion of how much Kraft paid for Cadbury. That was certainly a discussion at the time. But strategically, what I want you to do is say, OK, we might have overspent, but that just means we really need to figure out how to make this work. So pretend that you’re a manager at Kraft, and OK, yes, we’re getting a lot of criticism for maybe overpaying. But again, we’ve got to figure out how to make this work. And that’s how I want you to think about your recommendations, thinking about the corporate level. Are there things that Kraft should sell off, parts of Cadbury? This was one of the discussions of PepsiCo’s acquisition of Quaker Oats. Again, I mentioned this, but they primarily bought Quaker Oats for Gatorade. Maybe they should have sold off everything else. They didn’t, and they’ve received some criticism for that as well. So think about that. Are there overlapping businesses, in particular, that Kraft should get rid of? Is there a different way they can structure this, et cetera, et cetera? But again, don’t get too caught up in the price they paid, but rather the corporate, the business, the functional level strategies that they should engage in now to make this acquisition work.
