(b) Estimate the dislocation density from Figure 4.22(a). State your assumption and explain your approach in detail. (c) From the values in (a)(b), determine the average shear strain of dislocations. Assume these dislocations are glissile dislocations and travel 100 nm. 0.5 km Figure 4.22(a) For question (b) is preferable if you used the following equation p= 2N/ Lt where p is the dislocation density and t is the sample thickness.
