Scenario “Tropical Code” is a fast-growing company in Sri Lanka, which mainly selling imported garment item branded and others), shoes (branded and others) and accessories etc. Which has 7 branches Island wide and expecting to expand in near future to other cities as well, since they sell high quality goods and they offe high level of customer service, has won a good place in the market for their business. Just as any other business, “Tropical Code” is also facing a major problem from their competitors, therefore n order to take the business to the next level, “Tropical Code” is hoping to have an attractive website developed, because it has realized the reach of the technology and the impact of Internet on the society very well, Your company has chosen to design and develop the website. Their basic requirement is to present their business through website as a market leader or a giant in the field, as well as providing up to date information about the business, sharing their main achievements, showcase their products and, perform promotions over the website. The basic requirements of the proposed website are as follows. • An attractive Homepage with easy navigation from the home page to all the other web pages. ( you can refer similar websites on the internet and formulate the proper content for “Tropical Code” J • The website should have options for online orders a•d cash on delivery and other options available to user to order and purchase items. • Users must have accounts (must be logged in) in order to purchase item over the website. • All records/data must be stored in database and website must have dynamic contents. • Include filtering and sorting features for the make things easy for the users. • Include paginations for the products page (the page consists of list of products). • Should follow an appropriate theme for all pages and must respect UI/UX principles |

– The system must respect web development principles, user-friendliness, all aspects of OOP, Conditional
and Iterative Statements, aesthetic and professional look and feel must be present in application.
– Web application must be connected to a Database (prefer MySQL) which stored application’s and users’
data.
From software development aspect
– A fully working web application with realistic contents could be the final outcome of the software.
– CSS pre-processors, CSS frameworks, JavaScript libraries can be used (prefer to be used).

1. Discuss the importance of Domain Name Server (DNS) in order to publish a website. You must discover
different types of DNSs and choose an appropriate Top-Level Domain (TLD) for the above scenario.
Note: You are required to provide a plan that how domains are managed and organized (including Sub
Domains)
2. You are required to do a presentation about different web server technologies and Management
Services which are used to host and manage websites. Write a detailed report based on your
presentation as well.

• Different Web Hosting services
3. Critically review and evaluate the impact of common web development technologies and frameworks
with regards to website design, functionality and management.
4. Conduct an online research and critically review the importance of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

develop websites. In addition, explain the limitations oftechnologies and how they are related one another
