Select an influencer of your choice and look at their videos/posts/comments. Based on what you’ve learned in this week’s readings and lecture, discuss the following:
What makes this person an influencer in his/her/their niche?
How does this influencer foster a sense of parasocial relationship with followers/fans?
What is an example of a parasocial interaction on the influencer’s page/account. Explain your answer and provide a link to OR screenshot of that example.
Discuss the influencer’s strategy of maintaining authenticity (whether it was successful or not) when working with brands (e.g. brand sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, etc)
