Students will prepare a 2500-word proposal with a well-reasoned research question (or area of investigation) that is of theoretical interest to the public relations discipline, and/or applied relevance to industry.
The proposal must include at least one selected research method, building on the work of assessment three, justifying selection(s).
Students will also need to discuss the key ethical considerations for the chosen method and suggest ways in which these could be managed.
One example of a primary research tool (quantitative or qualitative) will form part of the research proposal, with the accompanying process for its proposed
use.
In what ways does DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY worsen the MENTAL HEALTH of young people?
ABSTRACT
The World Health Organixat. (WHO) define mental disorders as the combustion of abnormal thoughts, emotions, behavior, and relationships with others. The mental health factors can be influenced by biological psychological and environmental issues With exposure to such advanced digital technology. young people are constantly flooded with excessive information which may be detrimental to their mental health.
Mental health problems can all eat their daily activities and the relationship between people. This research is to review mental health problems among young people due to their exposure to digital technology. Therefore, I Ad make use of qualitative research to analyze my findings and figure the correlation between digital technology and the merest health of people today
DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY USAGE
The terms d.si la refers to a ride of devices, facades, and applications. Mobile devices are now used by the majority of young people digital technology users. Smartphones and other digital devices can be used to access a wide variety of services According to a representative survey of teenagers in the United States, YouTube (85 %) is the most popular digital Service. closely followed by the social media Smarten (72%), and Snapchat (69%) There are two forms of social media social networking sites like Instagram and ISIS% and instant messaging apps like WhatsApp and Signal.
FINDINGS
What ell ect does the use of digital technologies have on one’s well-being/ When we question young people specifically about the results. 31% believe they are mostly positive, 45% believe they are neither positive no negative. and 24% believe they are mostly negative. Teens who thought the effects were positive sad that social media heaped then, communicate with friends, get facts and find eke-minded people Those who believed the results were negative stated that social media increases the nsk of bullying, neglecting face-to-face interactions and forming false views of other peoples lives
METHODOLOGY
research in general qualitative research is a scientific investigation that seeks answers to a question employs a structured collection of procedures to address the question collects data, produces results that are not predetermined and produces timings that are relevant outside the study’s immediate oxidases It also aims to comprehend a given research issue or subject from the viewpoints of the people who live in the region Qualitative research is particularly useful for gathering c-gutturally contextual knowledge about a population’s beliefs, attitudes, habits, and social contexts.
LIMITATIONS
This is problematic because meta-analyses are skewed by low-quality individual studies. More large-scale research using longitudinal designs, quantitative indicators of digital technology usage that distinguish modes of use experience sampling measures of well-berg, and a statistical distinction of between-person variance and within-person variance have all been suggested as ways to improve efficiency. Furthermore, since the data and analysis scripts are not shared. the most study cannot be replicated.
