Purpose of the Study
The purpose of this qualitative case study is to further understand effective interventions to help in narrowing the achievement gap that exist for Black male teen athletes at a suburban high school north of Atlanta, Georgia by using technology-aided interventions. The expectation is by utilizing technology aided mediations that will promote the subgroup to become successful self-regulated learners. The transferable skills attained by applying self-regulated strategies within athletic performance can also be applied within the classroom for academic performance. This study will examine how technology feedback applications or systems might increase learner effectiveness and develop self-efficacy in students.
