as: assimilation, master narrative, religion, etc.
Pt. 2 Analysis:
/2 points Analyze and show how has this topic impacted Native American life or the Native American Experience.
/3 points You must properly cite at use at least 2 assigned readings from the syllabus to support vour analysis. You must use assigned readings
to support your argument. DO NOT USE OUTSIDE SOURCES! (The book A Different Mirror counts as 1 source.)
Pt. 3 Introduction/Conclusion:
/I points You are also graded on the quality and the strength of your introduction and conclusion. You will need to have a clearly stated thesis
in your introduction. You are not simply restating information but making your own analytical point about the given topic of choice and using your sources to support that point. Please keep in mind that the presentation and organization of your essay matters. Furthermore, avoid misspelling keywords, ideas and people’s names.

part of the grading criteria. Proper citation is vital for review of your sources. Indicate your citation in parenthesis – for books: (author’s last name and page), e.g. (Takaki 35). There is a 2 page minimum (not including block quotes, title page or bibliography). Papers that do not meet the minimum will result in an “F” grade. Papers must be typed, double-spaced, and submitted to Turnltln. One-inch margins, 12 point font (standard academic font).
