(a) Increase the thickness of the cement and sand paving in item B3/23/B to 25 mm thick. 2 The cement and sand paving area is 125 m .
(b) Supply and install 16mm thick ‘Celetone’ mineral fibre board suspended ceiling to two additional meeting rooms. The quantity of item B3/45/A is increased from 22 1248 m to 1425 m
. (c) Supply and install a half-hour fire-rated door to the 2nd storey conference room. The quantity for item B3/48/C is increased from 10 Nos. to 11 Nos. The contractor has mistakenly priced the unit rate for this item at $7.80 instead of $780 per door. The contractor wishes to claim for a correction to this rate.
(d) Supply and fix wrot teak architrave (not shown in the contract documents) to all timber flush doors. Question 3 (40 marks) A well-known University intends to engage a contractor to build a $100 million facility within its campus.
You are required to provide sound professional advice to the Dean of the University. Assume the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract 2020 is used for the contract, explain the payment procedure from the commencement of the contract to the issue of the Final Certificate.
