a) In the first part of your essay, identify the theme common to all the poems (in the “Poems” file) then illustrate that theme by quoting (likely in one paragraph apiece) 1-4 lines from three or four of the poems. You should already have the base of this portion of the assignment completed from the in-class write done on Tuesday. b) Next transition to applying the implicit advice of these poems to (a) your own life, (b) the lives of those around you, or (c) to human nature, that is, people in general. c) Conclude the essay with one of the concluding paragraph methods discussed in class. (There are also two articles in the file “Peace Articles” that you may want to look at to quote from or to simply spur your thinking.) Length: 900 words
