Research Paper
You will select a topic on an issue of current importance to human resource planning (list of possible topics follows). In your research you should look to how employers deal with this issue.
Your report should be 7 – 12 pages. It should include a review of the topic, current theory and ideas as to effective human resource management in dealing with your particular issue. And finally, include a review and assessment of how Canadian employers have dealt with the issue.

If you choose to conduct interviews in gathering information for your report/presentation, you are required to follow the ethical guidelines attached to this course syllabus.

Evaluation Criteria
In evaluating the paper and presentation, I will be considering the following criteria:

a) Paper Content:
Organization, evidence of research, understanding of the importance of the issue and its impact on HR, understanding of HR best practices, insights into organizational issues and problems, coherence of arguments, and recommendations for resolving the issues.
b) Presentation Style:
Organization, clarity, spelling, punctuation, correct grammar.
