Overview
For this assignment, you are required to submit a report on the study of the business analytics practices of a real company or organisation.
You are required to find a company who publicly shares their data sets. The Week 1 discussion forum “Upcoming assignments” contains library links to help you decide which company to choose.
You can choose any (or multiple) of the discussed business analytics practices in this course, particularly weeks 1-5.
Please note:
Your report must contain your own analysis and not just describe the current analysis and practices in the company.
This means you need to show the impact of your analysis and explain new insights/ recommendations that are based on your analysis.
Your report must explain how your analysis improved the decision making and performance of the company. You should include recommendations and new insights based on your analyses in your report.

Assessment Details
For this assignment you are required to study the business analytics practices of a real company. You can choose any of the discussed areas in this course from Week 1-5.
On the chosen topic and company, you are required to:
Provide background information regarding the company including size, business type, areas of operations, competitors etc.
If you have collected the data from websites and you don’t know the company information, you can use your report to discuss who can benefit from your analysis and who can use your analysis in decision making.
Some useful webpages would beProvide detailed information about the chosen topic, including the collected data and the significance of the problem.
Collect real data for the chosen topic, and then show the current status of the company in the chosen topic.
Provide a solution to improve the performance.
Remember:
The report should include a comparative analysis that compares the existing and current practices with your proposed recommendations.
Your final report must address both qualitative and quantitative aspects of the selected topics.
You should structure your report following the criteria headings below i.e. ‘Company information’, ‘Identify the problem’ etc.

You must acknowledge all the courses of information you have used in your assessments.

Submission format
The report must be uploaded as a single PDF document with Excel items pasted into the document. Upload as one single PDF file via the assignments submission page within Canvas.

Students should use different resources for collecting data: internet, company reports, etc. You can collect the data from the organisation or company that you know, or you can search to find some data online.

Here make sure you use the techniques and principles that you learned in our course correctly. To compare with the current situation, you may discuss if your analysis is not used in decision making what would be the consequence (therefore, here you need to show the impact of your analysis). You can apply one or multiple techniques that we had in business analytics course.
