Assignment Task

Rationale: During your university studies, you will be expected to discuss and present information from scholarly research in various modalities. This task will develop your skills in data interpretation as well as oral and visual Science communication, focusing on concise and effective communication. This task will also familiarise you with various computer programs which will be helpful for your future studies.

Task description: You will present a case study of one primary research article, demonstrating your understanding of the rationale, aims, hypothesis testing, methods, results and limitations. You must also demonstrate your ability to interpret data by explaining one graph from the article, in-depth. The case study will be presented as a short recorded oral presentation with slides.

A. Audio recording: You must record an audio presentation while sharing your slides (e.g., using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or PowerPoint) and upload an MP4 file which shows slides with clear audio. The recording of your presentation will be assessed for content, delivery, and timing.

B. Presentation slides: Your PowerPoint slides will be marked to assess your visual communication skills (slide layout, formatting, use of images, etc.) and the organization of the presentation (including content and flow)
