Instruction Select a non-profit community agency to interview. You will create a script for your interview, including an introduction of yourself, list of questions for the agency, and a conclusion wherein you thank the agency for their help and participation. Interview questions should center around course content, and serve to investigate how assessment, evaluation, and grant-writing take shape in real world health and wellness environments. To what extent is the agency involved in these types of activities? Are these activities embedded in their day-to-day activities? How essential are they to the agency’s operations? Content: Following your interview with a community agency (non-profit) of your choice, summarize and extend your experiences. Please use the following format: i. Part I of paper (Description): This section of your paper should include a brief description of: – the agency, the type of work they do, and the population(s) they work with – contact information for the specific person you spoke to (full name, phone number, and email address). – summarize the main discussion points of the interview ii. Part II of paper (Reflection): Consider the field study as a whole (prevention/education and intervention field study settings), and respond to the following reflection questions: – What did you learn? – What surprised you? – How does the field study project relate to the course material? – Given what you learned about this agency, would you enjoy a job with this agency? – Does a job in evaluation and assessment interest you? Why or why not? – Does a job in grant-writing interest you? Why or why not? – Do you feel like this field study project specifically, or the course in general, has prepared you for your future career? Why or why not? – What personal qualities (e.g., communication skills, etc.) have you developed through this project? iii. Part III of paper (Conclusion): Finally, conclude the assignment with a paragraph or two of your overall reaction to the interview experience, your assessment of how it was handled, what might you have done differently, and what would you will remember the most from this experience. iv. Part IV of paper: Finally, include a list of the questions that you asked (include as an appendix; not included in paper page count).
