TASK 1– Audit Research
Macro Environment (PESTLE Table)
This is comprehensive research of the industry and chosen company Conduct comprehensive research on the chosen industry and identify macro-environmental factors to be applied to the PESTLE framework. Present at least 5 current, evidenced, and relevant factors for each element of the framework.
Should be at least 1 A4 size page using Arial/ Times New Roman font. Use the template provided on Learning Zone (under the assessment brief tab)
This should be included in the appendices to showcase your research efforts and WILL BE GRADED
External Micro Environment (Porter’s Five Forces & Competitor capability analysis)
Conduct comprehensive research on the chosen industry identify competitive environmental factors (driving profitability) and apply these
to:
1. The Porter’s Five Forces framework. Rating each factor as (High, Medium, and Low) provides at least 2 sound research justifications to support the rating.
2. Competitor Capability Analysis Identify one direct competitor and present a comparative analysis to your company in terms of productsranges, profits or marketshare, pricing strategy, distribution channels, social media presence, innovation and technology advances, marketing tactics etc. (compare at least 3 of these elements) in a self-generated table.
This also should be included in the appendices to showcase your research efforts and WILL BE GRADED
Internal Micro Environment (SWOT)
Conduct comprehensive research on the chosen company and identify its Strengths and Weaknesses. Using the SWOT framework organise factors appropriately. Remember all SWOT must be informed by Insights on chosen company (Strengths & Weaknesses), PESTLE, Porter’s Five Forces and competitor capability analysis
- Present at least 5 current, evidenced and relevant Strengths and Weaknesses and most appropriate Opportunities and Threats from the frameworks above
- This should be included in the main body to showcase your research efforts and WILL BE GRADED
- N/B – SWOT table should be included intext and not in the appendices
Task 2 Main Body
Introduction: Clear succenct outline of the background of the chosen company, aim and purpose of the report
Environmental analysis (Macro and Micro)
▪ In the main body of the report, ONLY Analyse and Evaluate
key factors from:
1. PESTLE (three elements with the biggest impact at present),
2. Porter’s Five Forces (ranked as high) and
3. Competitor’s Capability Analysis (the ones competitor is performing better) that have the biggest impact including the implications on the performance of your company.
▪ You should include sound justification using credible sources highlighting the KEY factors’ relevance to customer needs, the organisation’s capabilities, competitors and/market trends
Situation analysis SWOT
Present acritical evaluation of your chosen company’s current situation by: assessing Opportunities that draw on/ match to the organisation’s
Strengths, likewise suggest ways to convert Weaknesses into Strengths and Threats into Opportunities. Tell us what it all means for its future in
the market its operating in Propose two most appropriate growth Opportunities the organisation should consider as part of their offering or marketing strategy and a short justification on why you have chosen them
