Case Study

Fashionwave is a small company of designed apparels. The company is committed to providing you with the highest quality apparel through an efficient, ethical and sustainable supply chain solution – Total Apparel Management.

Established in 1936, we are a world-reknown specialist in the Global Apparel Industry. As a market leader in Total Apparel Management, we consistently deliver client satisfaction through superior quality and innovation in our apparel offering.

We are committed to managing the evolving needs of our specific clients in the ever-changing environments in which they operate.

In order to meet these needs, we are constantly enhancing our range of apparel through ongoing research and development.

Proudly Australian owned by the family who started it all, Fashionwave has been at the forefront of Australian fashion for 50 years. In 1968, at the height of Mod, Carnaby Street and Beatlemania, and inspired by the latest looks from London, Fashionwave introduced a modern point of view to Australian fashion. Opening its first store in Sydney’s iconic Strand Arcade, Fashionwave introduced trend driven and ambitious styles in-store each week.

Since then we’ve danced through disco, rocked the power suits of the Eighties, embraced Nineties minimalism and immersed ourselves in Noughties luxury. And now, we continue to celebrate what is new and next.
Creativity, innovation and a youthful energy are the Fashionwave way. Focussed firmly on the future of Australian fashion, and with a dedicated and passionate team of designers, Fashionwave combines a wealth of experience with ceaseless creativity. At Fashionwave we have fun with fashion; all of our designs are original and feature Fashionwave signatures: sharp tailoring, statement prints and luxurious fabrics.

Industry awarded and ethically accredited Fashionwave is the largest local manufacturer of fashion in Australia, with all designs originating from our head office in Sydney. Staying local means that we support the Australian fashion industry, and can deliver of-the-minute designs weekly.

Fashionwave is an Australian icon, and has been voted the Best Australian Fashion Brand by the readers of marie claire 4 out of the 6 times awarded.

Fashionwave has stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The company at the moment is constructed by 20 middle aged women who design and produce the clothes for women and men. They would like to have their own website, so there will be the company’s online identity and information exposure online. This is the first stage of their online plan. They will eventually have a full-fledged eCommerce website, which will allow them to be able to sell their clothes directly from online.

For the time being, the company’s owner decided that the project will be categorised into just men and women two simple categories. Each category will have at least 8 most current products in it for a start. Namely, 8 men’s clothes in men category, and 8 women’s clothes in women category. The website will have 5 pages. Homepage, Category, Service Policy, About Us, Contact. The Homepage will have welcome information, and some highlights of company current sale information; The category page will of course have the link to the two categories – man and woman. Therefore the two categories will be two subpages from this page; Service Policy page will have company service policy, such as shipping information, return policy, service guarantee, etc; About us page has the company introduction and a gallery of photos showing the company being participating a recent apparel fair. Finally the contact page will have the contact information of the company and the embedded Google map. The footer of the pages will have usual disclaimer and contains social media exposure including the icons to the social media, i.e. FaceBook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc; The men and women products pages are two subpages of the category page, they will each contains 8 or more products, with the products icons, product names, and prices.

The project, after planned and proposed, needs to be approved by the project manager and the client. Before the delivery of the website, the testing report need to be sighted and approved by the project manager and the client.
