For this assignment you will be using the sociological imagination (a.k.a. thinking sociologically) to analyze a popular film with respect to social stratification. You will examine both how people are being portrayed, as well as the messages about social stratification presented to the viewer. Here are some of the guidelines for this paper:This paper must be 3-4 pages long, double-spaced, with 12 point Times New Roman font and standard margins.Select a film that illustrates at least one of the following dimensions of social stratification: class, race/ethnicity, gender or sexuality. Pick one or two of these dimensions to write about in your paper. You must reference at least two academic (peer reviewed) journal articles/books when discussing how the film highlights a particular sociological concept or issue. At least one of these articles/books must come from the assigned readings for the course. You must properly cite the article both in text and in a work cited page at the end of your paper. You may use any style of citation you chose.
