Perfect! Now that you have an understanding for what UX testing entails, the second thing you need to do is take a look at a sample video(https://app.usertesting.com/v/116e9a73-f328-48a6-82bf-e409aff5ac1b?encrypted_video_handle=uOkhjPtbNaTkahU6j5sU1A#!/notes#%2Fnotes) that was submitted by a former student for this project.
This is what you will be submitting x3.
Did you notice anything interesting?
The user was looking at the home page and wondering if the Children’s Museum has anything for boys to do given the picture was of two little girls.
Their homepage has since changed but what an interesting observation and something that I wouldn’t have thought of….the user’s perception was that the Museum was more focused on girls. Easy fix.
The third thing you need to do is make a copy of this Google document so that you can edit it and later submit it as your official user test draft.
Here are some good examples of User Testing objectives:
1.Can users find information about product availability in stores?
OR
2.Can users find and use the Christmas gifting assistant feature?
OR
3.Can buyers find information about shipping options and delivery times through all steps in the conversion funnel?
Notice how specific and clear they are. You would choose ONE of these objectives per test.
Here are some poor examples:
1. Is the website good?
2. Does the website work?
3. Do people like the website?
4. Is the website easy to find?
5. Is the website’s SEO effective?
Notice how vague these are. Not good choices at all.
