As outlined in Chapter 7 of the textbook, each Airport’s terminal is often uniquely designed relative to
passenger demand and behavior. For instance, at some airports all passengers either originate locally or are
destined for the region as visitors. Whereas some airports serve mostly connecting passengers who will never
visit the Airport’s region. To demonstrate your understanding of how passenger demand and travel behavior
influence terminal design, review ACRP Report 25 – Airport Passenger and Terminal Planning and Design,
Section VI.1.1.1 (pages 141-143) and complete the following:
Write 250+ words: identify and describe at least two (2) different operating missions driven by passengers that
ultimately influence terminal layout/design.
