Write an 8-10 page research paper. Your paper can be on any topic that we
have gone over so far this semester, anything we are going to cover, or something that is not covered in our
class but that you are very interested in exploring, as long as it relates to communications design (graphic
design, advertising, typography). You can think about design broadly and address other fields of design, such
as fashion design, industrial design, product design, or architecture, but make sure communications design is a
big part of your paper. You can also discuss fine art, as long as you are focusing your discussion on
communications design.
