Think about the different elements of theatre and talk about how they create emotion and mood.
The elements of theatre composition are: / Cohesion / Motion / Rhythm / Emphasis / Contrast / Variation
- Identification and discussion on the characteristics that the performers demonstrate.
Look at the performers themselves, how are they dressed? What are their facial/body expressions like? Personality/ feelings/ emotions they trying to convey?
- Interpretation and evaluation of the reactions of the children in the audience.
Focus on the children themselves. Look at their facial reactions and how they react emotionally to the play. Evaluate (so discuss the positives, negatives and improvements) how the different elements of play created the reactions in the children and what the play aims to teach the children.
