How would you communicate Anselm’s ontological argument to a lay audience? Try to “translate” his argument in plain language. Imagine what the reaction of your interlocutor would be? What does the argument tell us, or expect us to believe about the being of God?
There are 3 Discussions in this course. You will create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each discussion. Each thread must be at least 400 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. For each thread, you must support your assertions with at least 2 specific references to the course materials (citations to these sources may be informal, but you must include enough information for your classmates to find the original). In addition to the thread, you will reply to at least 2 classmates’ threads. Each reply must be thorough and add substantively to the discussion by thoughtfully interacting with the ideas, arguments, assertions, and main points of the thread. These interactions must be supported by reference to specific sources. The main ideas of the assignment must be kept at the forefront of the discussion. Each reply must be at least 200 words. Include a total word count at the bottom of each post you make in the forums. File attachments in posts are not permitted.
this course utilizes the Post-First feature in all Discussions. This means you will only be able to read and interact with your classmates’ threads after you have submitted your thread in response to the provided prompt.
Submit each thread by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned module. Submit your replies by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the same module.
