Please submit the two essays in a single .docx file.  Please number your essays, so I know which topics you are addressing. The best essays will show that you have done the homework with care, that you have paid attention in class, that you have thought carefully about the material introduced and the issues raised, that you have considered your own tastes and preferences.  The essays will be logically organized — with clear introductions, developments, and conclusions. They will avoid plagiarism, digression, and repetition, and will support general claims with specific evidence from the plays we have considered. They will be clearly and even elegantly written. They will give references when appropriate. They will be scrupulously proofread, and attractively presented.
