There are many examples of material weaknesses, such as inadequate segregation of duties for security professionals, incomplete or inadequate documentation for the application of a control, lack of training, or security clearance of those who are responsible for assigned duties.

In this discussion, review the literature and discuss some control and a possible material weakness that could result from not adequately managing that control.
