There are two instructional videos that accompany this assignment brief document.
1) PowerPoint that talks through this assignment brief. This is to show you an example
what I am expecting you to produce.
2) Panopto video where I talk you through the administrative requirements, behind the
scenes PowerPoint set-up and Turn-it-In submission instructions for the assessment.
Please watch both videos.
The presentation format for this assessment will be a 10-minute PowerPoint presentation.
You are required to record your presentation using the “record slide show” function in
PowerPoint.
Please follow EXACT instructions set out in this assignment brief and in the Powerpoint &
Panopto videos
Please upload your PowerPoint presentation onto the turn-it-in link on Blackboard ASB4431
as per instructions in the Panopto Video and Powerpoint Presentation.
You can use as many slides as required but the presentation recording will only be marked for
the first 10 minutes.
You are also expected to contribute to the Assignment Discussion Board on blackboard as
part of this assessment

The presentation topic:
The global pandemic of 2020 has impacted upon all aspects of Human Resource Management
[HRM] and Organisational Behaviour [OB]. Selecting an organisation of your choice,
critically explore how the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 has changed/ reshaped/ affected an
aspect (or aspects) of HRM/OB from ONE of the set of topics below

Suggested Structure
1. Introduce your presentation, linking to the assignment aims as set out in the assignment brief.
2. Briefly introduce the organisation that you have selected and provide some background context.
3. Drawing on suitable theories/ models etc from OB/HRM; define, describe and illustrate how the
coronavirus pandemic in 2020, has changed an aspect or aspects of Human Resource
Management and/or Organisational Behaviour.
4. If relevant outline how key changes to UK/ EU/ Worldwide/ other country legislation (from
March 2020 to present day) may have affected HRM/OB within your chosen topic and
organisation (e.g. furlough scheme, advisor to work from home etc).
5. Critically highlight some of the challenges, opportunities and threats that your chosen
organisations are faced with. Have there been any positive/ innovation outcomes as a result of
changes to ways of working?
6. Conclude with your opinion on the outlook for your chosen organisation.
7. Final slide should contain references (Harvard Style).
