A nurse practitioner who has privileges at a multi-hospital health care system and who is
part of the system’s organized health care arrangement impermissibly accessed the
medical records of her ex-husband. She then called her sister and informed her that her
ex-husband was admitted for attempted suicide, and she is going to use this information
to stop his visitation with their two children.
