Goals
Analyze and communicate the impact of photography on social, cultural, and political shifts and events from its inception in early 19th Century to the present day.
Describe the various ways photography has been used by people prioritizing different social, cultural, and political concerns.
Describe how social, cultural, and political shifts and events have impacted photographic invention, trends and expression from invention to present day.
Identify and describe contributions to historical and contemporary photography made by individuals and groups. Identify at least three important historic and three contemporary photographers and articulate the contributions of each.
Analyze the production of visual images and the image-making and image-disseminating processes. Differentiate those elements in photographs that delineate historical content from those marking aesthetic expression.

Format/Layout
Length is 6-8 pages, not longer or shorter (completely fill 6 full pages).
Times or Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spaced, 1-inch border.
No efforts to lengthen or deceive (no extra lines, excess quotes, pictures, big borders)
Quality of Writing
Writing is formal, succinct, and free of distracting grammatical errors.
Ideas are organized and easy to understand, so that your knowledge is demonstrated.
Content/Information
The writing demonstrates a high level of knowledge of the topic.
The information is correct and accurate.
Conclusions are supported by researched information.
Research, references and use of references
Five or more quality sources were used (no Wikipedia, blogs, or class lectures).
You will cite your textbook and Include at least two other books as sources (digital books are okay)
Include at least two credible digital resource from the library (not webpages, use journals).
Optional: include more sources of your choice (may use credible webpages, no Wikipedia or course lessons).
