1. In the research and write down 7 facts about the author. Write them in the in the blank space next your chosen novel.

2. Create a One-Pager* for the text.

–A pager is a single back and front page (8 ½ x 11) that summarizes a topic or a text. Similar to a collage.

–It should be clear enough that someone with no prior knowledge of the novel can understand your main points.

–It uses both visual symbols and important words/phrases to clearly and concisely share your most important takeaways.

-The pager can be hand created (drawn) or digitally created and printed. Remember both back and front two printed pages.

REQUIREMENTS:.

1. title and author and your MLA heading in the upper right hand corner of the paper

2. 4 visual images of symbols from the text – make sure that your name the symbol and provide the meaning

3. (4) meaningful direct quotes (who said it)

4. (5) words with definitions (words that you did not understand)

5. Names of 2 characters from the novel (that stood out to you) and a symbol for each that would represent him/her

6. (2) main points/themes

7. 3 points about the author

8. The genre (look it up)

9. Be prepared to give an Effective Presentation
