Introduction
The impact of Brexit to the maritime industry in both the UK and EU
The maritime industry largely relies on international trade, which is commonly impacted by international business environment. Brexit is one of important uncertainty that significantly impacts on the maritime industry in recent years. Many policies and strategies have been discussed around this issue. Your task is to investigate the impacts of Brexit to the maritime industry in the UK and EU respectively.

Coursework Specification and Corresponding Marks
Task:
You are required to describe the background of Brexit to global economy and the relevant published policies related to the maritime industry, including both shipping companies and port authorities (30%), and use SWOT (strengths (10%), weaknesses (10%), opportunities (10%), and threats (10%)) analysis to discuss the impact of Brexit to the maritime industry in both the UK and EU. For the conclusion, provide some possible solutions for the maritime industry based on the findings from the SWOT analysis (10%)
Submit a report of with no more than 2000 words (exclude references) and make appropriate use of tables and illustrations. Reports should be submitted electronically using the assignment tool function on Canvas. Ensure that you retain your electronic receipt and a back up copy of your work in case the original goes astray for any reason. Work submitted after the deadline, unless covered by a valid Personal Circumstances claim or with an extension agreed with the module leader in advance, will be awarded a mark of zero. It may however be marked to give formative feedback.
