How do gas prices compare near San Diego State University?
The population of the topic is gas stations near San Diego State University. (Using the address 5500 Campanile Dr).
Sample size will be narrowed down by focusing on a 3.5 mile radius surrounding San Diego State University. Additionally, only focusing on one type of gas, such as 87 Octane/ Regular narrows the sample size.
Data will be collected on the price of 87 Octane for all gas stations within the specified radius (gas stations with no price listed online will be excluded). This will be done by using Google maps as it clearly displays the distance from San Diego State and the price of gas.
Data type for all variables:
Categorical Data: Price of gas, Gas station name
Measurement Data: Distance from SDSU

Our research findings suggest that gas station prices around San Diego State University within the 3.5 mile radius have an average price of $4.82 per gallon.

Does it appear that the distance of the gas station from SDSU has an impact on the price of gas?
