Michal Adamovič

Hello,

First of all, thank you very much for yesterday’s presentation. They were great. I uploaded all the presentations and texts from November 18 to MS Teams.

Secondly, below I send questions from each presentation / essay that may appear in the final test. No further questions from your presentations / texts that took place on November 18 will appear in the test. This way I will send a few questions every week.

The questions are asked in general, they are not some precise and specific formulations of the questions. It is also not necessary to answer these questions with a long text, it is enough to have about 2-3 sentences as an answer. It is not necessary to learn any graphs, diagrams or equations, etc. Just know the basics.

  1. Michal Adamovič: Theories of international trade and their relevance today
    1. What is mercantilism?
    2. What is the theory of comparative advantage?
    3. What is the Heckscher-Ohlin theorem?
  2. Bela Beisembayeva: Exchange rate forecasting
    1. What are the determinants of the exchange rate? (at least four together)
    2. What exchange rate forecasting methods would you use for the short and long term? (At least three methods together)
  3. Thi Ha Vi Bui: Portfolio investment
    1. What is rating?
    2. Explain the “magic triangle of investing”.
  4. Antonio Cirelol Bellver: Eurozone crisis:
    1. What are the causes of the eurozone crisis? (list at least three)
  5. Mariana Costa Esteves Cavaleiro: The issue of population ageing: economic impacts
    1. What is “population aging”? What are the causes of population aging?
    2. What are the economic implications of an aging population?
  6. Jérémy Davy: Impacts of COVID-19 on economic development (France vs. Czech Republic).
    1. How are governments responding to the COVID-19 situation? (It is not necessary to name the exact steps of the Czech or French government, only GENERAL AND BASIC information is sufficient. You can use any other examples from other governments, etc. No need to know any exact numbers, laws, etc.)

Have a nice day.
