Compare and contrast the political and economic development of both North and South Korea. What were the key factors in their national development from 1948 to the 1990s? What do you believe was the primary reason for their success up to the 1970s and the primary reason for their different fates in the 1990s. Then discuss how the different paths of the two Koreas impacted Inter-Korean relations in the 2000. How do you interpret the significance of the key events that led to the North South Summit and the Sunshine policy of the 2000s?
