Overview of Assignment
In this assignment you will produce a digital (and primarily visual but with written notes) marketing audit of a fashion brand of your choice. You may prepare your audit using a website or app such as Prezi or Milanote, or preparing a PDF with software such as Canva, Indesign or PowerPoint. Confirm your choice of brand and presentation platform with the course tutor before commencing work.
Your brand audit should include:
Review and analysis of the brand’s image and identity.
Review and analysis of the brand’s current marketing mix.
Analysis of the brands market environment with a representation of the brand’s position in relation to identified competitors.
An overview of the brand’s target consumer groups.
This is an individual assignment and is worth 20% of your overall course grade.

Rationale (why?)
Reviewing, assessing and auditing brand marketing is a key role of marketing professionals. Success in this assessment will show your ability to perform these tasks and set the foundation for campaign development in Assignment 3.
Submission (What and Where)
When: Week 06: Friday 8 April 2022
What: Software link or Exported PDF of your assignment is included along with and assignment cover sheet detailing your name, student number, course and assignment details, along with relevant RMIT Harvard Referencing.
Where: Submit online using the Turnitin link.
Word Count: 2000 words (-/+ 10%)

Method (How?)
Step 1. Determine which brand to study (confirm this with the course tutor in-class WK2), and begin to research its marketing.
Step 2. Analyse your findings, determining brand image and identity, marketing mix, competitors and consumers.
Step 3. Develop and construct your audit using the platform of your choice (Prezi, Milanote, Canva, Indesign, PowerPoint producing a PDF).
Step 4. Submit Assignment 1 via Canvas as a PDF Cover sheet including external software link (or PDF of your Audit) and RMIT Harvard Referencing.
The four above steps are suggestions and do not exclude alternative approaches to research, analysis and writing, or exclude other content that you feel is appropriate for the successful completion of the assignment. You will have opportunities to discuss other process and content ideas with your tutor.
Here is a guide/template to each heading you must research and explore for your chosen brand. However this is a guide, and everything we’ll learn in our class over the weeks. Please make sure you note the information learnt in class to help conduct your audit.

Assessment Criteria
You will be assessed by the following components of the assignment:
– Quality of your research and analysis of the brand’s image and identity (30% of assignment grade).
– Quality of your marketing audit across various models across; marketing mix, competitors, and target consumer. (50% of assignment grade).
– Quality of your Assignment submission, including integration of images, graphics and data (20% of assignment grade).
