This week we will discuss Interest Groups. Per our textbook: An interest Group is a collection of people who pursue their common interests by influencing political processes. They are also known as factions, special interests, pressure groups, or organized interests. Research an interest group that influences healthcare and, in your own words, discuss the following:
Primary Post: 1) Their focus/interest, 2) Your thoughts/opinions of the article.
1. Give 2 instances where a watermark stamp is needed and discuss why that is important.
2. What type of information used in your personal and/or professional life should be protected? Chapter 38 Question:
1) How do the executive and legislative branches of government work together to create and regulate laws benefiting the public?
Chapter 66 Question:
1) In which way is, or is not, your professional organization a special interest group in American democracy?
