“Video 2 – Organisation/Project video
This five minute video needs to cover:
Research the organisation (or department if you are working in a big organisation) or project
if volunteering or a live project to illustrate in-depth understanding of how the organisation
operates. Critically analyse the aims and activities and provide at least one recommendation
for how you think things could be improved. This doesn’t have to be anything major, it could
be setting up a new administration or IT system.
You should consider areas such as finance, logistics, production, marketing, technological
development and management, as relevant to your role. You can refer to the organisation’s
policy documents and formal working relationships. Additionally, consider the impact of
external factors on the organisation, such as the economy and changes in the sector.
You are required to analyse the organisation/project from the perspective of your subject
area. The main criteria is that you are being critical and analytical.
You must also provide at least one recommendation for how you think things could be
improved. This doesn’t have to be anything major, it could be setting up a new administration
or IT system.”
“You need to verbally refer to at least TWO different applied, academic reference sources in
this section of the video and include a bibliography (written in your WebLearn submission or
include a slide at the end of the video). Ensure any literature is of an academically suitable
level (e.g. not Wikipedia).
You must refer to which of your set personal learning goals that you created for Assessment
1 you have met in this video.
Consider your dress, presentation approach and the background or the room you are filming
in. It is important to appear professional in line with the sector you are working in.”
