Same system characteristic

Several Goulds 2 X 3-10 (A60) pumps (Fig. 4-16) are used in series and parallel pumping arrangements. In one series arrangement (system characteristic H = 0.146Q2) and one parallel arrangement (system characteristic H = 0.00032Q2) there are two pumps with 10-in. rotors, both at 1,750 rpm. In another series arrangement and another parallel arrangement (same system characteristic) there are two pumps, one with a 1O-in. rotor and one with a 9- in. rotor, both at 1,750 rpm. For all four arrangements, find the systems’ operating points, the pumps’ efficiencies, and the power input into the pumps if the fluid density is 57Ibm/ft3. Show all answers in tabular form.
