Symposium pitch In presentation of no more than 3 minutes: Describe the project you envision presenting in the symposium. You may use one slide/image for this pitch, but no more (and unlike the actual symposium presentations, you can use PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi, etc for the symposium pitch, but only for the pitch). The focus should be on you and your explanation of your project. Consider your audience (your classmates) and include details that you think will interest and intrigue them. In doing so, consider some or all of the following (but keep in mind you only have 3 minutes) What is your original primary source and in what ways did you expand on that source with the arguments and analyses you developed in your Analytical Research Paper? Begin to conceive of some brief ways to tell/show/explore this evolution to your classmates. What are some of the details and observations that you noticed in your primary sources and how do they relate to each other? How might you go about selecting and presenting these in a concise format? Why is your primary source significant to our course theme? Can you think of an interesting/exciting/engaging way to present this connection? In what ways might presenting your idea verbally be different from the writing you’ve been doing thus far in the semester? Consider some of the persuasive presentation tactics used by modern media forms. Invite your audience to offer feedback and suggestions. Feel free to provide specific questions that you’d like your peer reviewers to consider .
