Write a 3-5 page-paper detailing the following content:
Part I—Study your chosen character for behaviors, personality traits, and mannerisms that you find interesting or unique to them. With any psychological disorder, there are symptoms and criteria that must be present to make a diagnosis. It is important you take notes about these behaviors and quirks as EVIDENCE for your evaluation.
Part II—Based on what you’ve seen, diagnose your character with one or more of the below conditions. Remember, it is possible to have one or more condition at the same time, we call this comorbidity. You MUST back up your diagnosis with background information and evidence.
Part III—Act as a professional psychologist would, give me background information about the condition based on what the DSM-V and professionals say. What symptoms does your character hit or miss? Did the movie/tv show/interview portray the mental health disorder correctly or incorrectly? Explain in detail.
Part IV—Offer a treatment option for your client. Did your character experience any type of stigma (shaming, embarrassment, or humiliation) and if so, how did it impact him or her? Consider the different types of therapy available and possibly even medications currently used for your character’s condition.
