On top of this, the existing gap is growing, as digital ecosystem stakeholders are unable to adapt to fast changing technologies. ITU’s toolkit, Bridging the digital innovation divide: A toolkit for strengthening ICT-centric ecosystems is a tool to help stakeholders understand the environment that innovators and entrepreneurs are facing when undertaking the journey to take their ideas to market. The Ecosystem Canvas has seven pillars, each of which is a crucial component of an ICT-centric innovation ecosystem. The pillars are: • Vision and strategy • Infrastructure and programmes • Talent and champions • Capital and resources • Markets and networks • Culture and communities • Regulation and policy Your task: Referring to the ITU’s Toolkit and to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report (GEM report) identify the elements of above pillars for Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan and Kuwait. Discuss those pillars per country, do not hesitate to give examples and fugues where applicable. Note: You are expected to write about one page per country.
