Purpose/Process
This project provides the opportunity to apply hands-on skills in developing a needs
assessment proposal including the instruments to be used to collect the data for
performance improvement. Possible organization types include community-based
groups, colleges/universities, corporations, healthcare organizations, military
organizations, religious organizations, schools, and non-profit organizations. This
project is developed and graded in two phases. The HAT Template is provided on
Blackboard. You will use the template and upload each time requested. The Rubric
is located below, please review.
Competencies and Standards
This course primarily contributes toward developing the "Investigate Gap"
competencies of our HROD Program: 1.1 Identify the environment and culture of
the workgroup; 1.2 Analyze and interpret critical business issues and challenges;
1.3 Utilize evidence-based literature to guide inquiry; 1.4 Utilize appropriate inquiry
methods; 1.5 Assess needs and opportunities; 1.6 Identify causal factors that limit
performance; and 1.7 Interpret results and make recommendations.
