o You’ve thoroughly explained what the problem is
o You’ve thoroughly explained what will happen if the problem is not addressed. Clearly propose a solution to the problem
o You’ve given your policy-maker some ideas on how to address the problem
o You’ve explained why these ideas are good. Clearly explain what could go wrong with the implementation of your ideas
o You’ve explained what problems implementing your ideas might cause.Would new groups be marginalized, would taxes need to be raised, etc. Your paper has a logical conclusion
o You’ve summarized your purpose in writing and your expectations for what your
policy-maker should do. Your paper is relatively free of grammatical and syntactical errors. Any errors that are
present do not detract from the intended meaning.
