When it comes to interviewing, competence, confidence, and credibility are essential tools for success. There are several channels for the interview which include: Phone call interview Panel interview Competency test interview Virtual assessment Interview preparation (Research company, arrive early, showcase strengths and be trueful, describe accomplishments, give examples of projects job related/volunteered, ask unique questions) Interview etiquette (behavior, language, and empathy) Interview dress code for both male and female (neutral colors-black, navy, gray and brown) Its ok to complement with bold colors that pop! The day of interview (take an extra resume to the interview) Illegal interview questions (age, religion, disability, gender, marital status, national origin, race, citizenship, credit history) Oversharing ( be careful with sharing personal information- financial status, personal woes, legal situations, religion, political affiliation, family plans, complaints about former workplaces or work-related industry)
