Station by station

The OSCE is part 2 of the NMC Test of Competence for nurses joining the UK register. It follows the APIE approach: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, plus clinical skills stations.

Introduce yourself, check identity and gain consent every single time. It’s easy marks.Margin note from Faith

Practise under time

Rehearse each station with a timer and a partner playing the patient. Record yourself and compare against the criteria.
