Recent geopolitical tensions, trade disruption and transportation challenges have encouraged organisations to reconsider established offshoring strategies. Using at least one real company or industry sector as an example, critically assess whether offshoring remains a viable strategy for global firms.

- Explain offshoring, near-shoring, re-shoring and friend-shoring.
- Evaluate the factors encouraging organisations to reconsider sourcing locations.
- Assess the implications for logistics networks, transport modes, lead times, service and cost.
