4. Demonstrate responsive interactions and pedagogical strategies that support the learning, identity, language and culture of tamariki.

5. Collaboratively design learning opportunities within an integrated, negotiated and localised curriculum.

6. Draw on evidence and feedback to improve own practice.

Practicum Assessment Tasks

This assessment is aligned with the learning outcomes of this practicum. The assessment tasks will support you to focus your efforts, collect evidence of your learning and progressively demonstrate the Key Teaching Tasks and Our Code, Our Standards/Ngā Tikanga Matatika, Ngā Paerewa (in a supported environment).

Work on these tasks during your practicum placement. Information and resources in your online course will support you with this assessment. Share your progress with your associate teacher and your academic staff member, who will provide advice, support and feedback throughout your placement.

The evidence you gather during these tasks will also be useful for Assessment2.

Your academic staff member will want to check on your progress on the assessment tasks at the mid-point contact and will review your completed task documentation and reflection during the assessment visit at the end of your practicum.
